Agriturismo Masseria Campi is located in the agricultural area surrounding San Vito dei Normanni, a pleasant town with Norman origins. It is 15 kilometres (9 miles) from Ostuni, 50 kilometres (31 miles) from Alberobello and the Castellana Caves and 9 kilometres (5 miles) from the marvellous Puglian coast and the Torre Guaceto nature reserve.
Additionally, just a short car journey away it is
possible to admire the beautiful Lecce with its
baroque architecture and white Ionian beaches.
Amid the splendid Puglian countryside, brimming with age-old olive
groves, Masseria Campi was once the summer residence of an
eighteenth century Spanish nobleman.
Thanks to careful restructuration work, Masseria Campi still
retains its architectural features which are typical to
Salento farmhouses in this area . The old buildings, once
storerooms and stables, have been transformed into welcoming and
comfortable independent appartments which are decorated simply, yet
stylishly. Star and tunnel vaults and thick walls, which are
typical of these buildings, help keep the rooms cool in the summer
and warm in the winter.
A large terrace with a view over the garden is
also available for our guests’ use and it is also possible to go
for bike rides along the area’s country lanes and to admire the
numerous stone chapels, farmhouses and
caves which can be found there.
Today in the area behind the Masseria, marked by the old walls,
there is a beautiful garden full of ornamental plants (cycads, pine
trees and palms) and various types of flowers. It is equipped with
a gazebo, rocking chairs and deckchairs as well as large parasols
to enable guests to spend pleasant hours in total relaxation,
surrounded by natural beauty.
